The 1505 testament of Blanca Cabeza de Vaca’s husband names Juan Pimentel and Catalina de Porras as his parents (AHN Nobleza, Fernán Núñez, C.28 D.6). The study traces an older Juan Rodríguez, husband of Teresa Álvarez de la Somoza, to the first count of Benavente, not the second duke. The manuscripts cited by the study were not independently inspected.

Unresolved reading

The 2000–2001 collateral Pimentel pedigree is challenged by Fernández del Hoyo’s 2007 study of the 1505 testament. Older parentage remains contested; the proposed Enríquez identification is not established.

Unresolved reading

Identification unresolved: this proposed Ana María is not merged with María Pimentel, married to Fernán Díaz in November 1503. The image’s c.1540 father conflicts chronologically, and its Juan pedigree differs from the 1505 testament studied in 2007.

Unresolved reading

This reference branch illustrates the proposed Pimentel–Osorio–Enríquez route. Every parent and marriage link remains a candidate; cited publications and catalogue metadata supplement the upper generations. The 1503 marriage and 1505 testament prevent establishing its Juan and María as the documented couple. No image dates are assigned as life dates.

Unresolved reading

Proposed parents differ from Blanca’s husband’s 1505 testament, which names Juan Pimentel and Catalina de Porras.

Unresolved reading

The supplied trees propose this Pimentel–Osorio–Enríquez ancestry. Identification with María’s father is disputed: c.1540 conflicts with her 1503 marriage, and the 1505 testament names different parents.
