Ferreira’s published reconstruction of the later Verín–Chaves families. The article, not the original manuscripts, was checked for this addition. Its note 48 says damaged processes including 6535 were unavailable to the author, who used catalogue descriptions and other cases. The separate 1580–1640 total is 32 individuals (24 women, 8 men), updating 28; it includes Portuguese and foreign people associated with Chaves, not 32 households or 32 Verín natives. No ancestry joining these families to the earlier Álvarez–da Costa network is established.
