The 1571 deed calls Juan López de Vaamonde the eldest legitimate son and heir of Alonso López de Vaamonde of San Cristóbal de Regodeigón.
The 1571 deed names doña Milia as Juan’s wife.
The article’s Juan López de Baamonde, son of Alonso, and the 1571 buyer of the same name and parentage are very likely one man; the deed is the only primary support for this link.
Alonso López de Baamonde of Regodeigón appears in both sources.
The deed’s doña Milia may be the article’s Hermelia de Quiroga, Juan’s first wife; equating the names is an inference.
The article, following Crespo Pozo, has Lope García Baamonde and Violante Mosquera founding the entailed estate about 1533; the 1571 deed says Alonso founded the mayorazgo by royal decree. These may be two instruments, or one account is wrong.
