The published transcription explicitly calls the apprentice Felipe the son of Francisco Álvarez, resident of Tamaguelos. This is filiation within the 1564 record, not proof of the later Felipe’s identity.

Claims & citations
Felipe was apprenticed to Antonio López de Guadalupe for five years and one month from 7 November 1564, before notary Gómez Cid. This is a professional relationship and establishes no kinship.
The apprentice may be the later Ribadavia apothecary: the name and trade match, and the existing secondary 1608 list calls Felipe a native of Tamaguelos aged sixty, compatible with apprenticeship in 1564. Neither source explicitly connects the two occurrences; the 1578 marriage settlement does not supply this father.

Miguel Ángel González García, “Datos menores para la historia de la provincia y diócesis de Ourense (II),” Diversarum Rerum 8 (2013), pp. 361–378. The apprenticeship is transcribed on pp. 363–364 (PDF pp. 353–354), citing AHDOURENSE PT12, folios 407–408. The published transcription was checked; the original manuscript was not inspected. It names the apprentice’s father but does not identify the apprentice with the later Ribadavia apothecary.
